Cinder Paperback BlogTourLogo

Welcome to our stop on the Cinder by Marissa Meyer paperback blog tour! During this week long tour, you can find out more about characters from both Cinder and the upcoming sequel Scarlet, which comes out February 5th. Guys, you don’t have to wait much longer!  And speaking of Scarlet, you can learn more about her as she happens to be our character for the tour. Both Adrienne and I loved her sweet and sassy personality. So check out her bio and enter for a chance to win the new paperback edition of Cinder!

SCARLET

Scarlet

Scarlet Benoit inherited a lot from the grandmother who raised her: the stubbornness of a mule, the temper of a firecracker, and the staunch determination to think for herself, even when it comes to the worldwide prejudices surrounding the Lunars.

So when Scarlet’s grandmother goes missing from their small family farm, Scarlet refuses to listen to the local police or townspeople who are sure the kooky old woman simply wandered off into the sunset. Help comes from the most unlikely places, though—first in the ravings of her own drunkard father, and then from Wolf, a city transplant turned street fighter. He may be handsome and, at times, painfully awkward, but Scarlet suspects he’s the last person she should trust. The challenge, though, will be convincing her heart of the same thing.

So, I’ve read Cinder and I was lucky enough to get an ARC of Scarlet. I’m pretty much a Marissa Meyer fangirl. I’m super psyched about the book signing she’s doing in my city and OMG it just occurred to me that not only can I get a hardcover of Scarlet signed, but I could also get a Cinder paperback and get THAT signed!!!
That is truly a sign of my love for this series: the notion that I would have a paperback AND a hardcover of the same book (especially when my shelf space is so limited)!

  2. Kate

I read Cinder and really enjoyed it, so I’m excited for Scarlet.

  3. Lee shewolfreads

I haven’t read Cinder yet but I’ve heard such good things about it that I know it’s one not to be missed.  Thanks so much for the giveaway!

  4. cynicalsapphire

That is not how I pictured Scarlet. Well, mostly just her face. And I thought she would be more ginger, but whatevs. WEIRD COMMENT IS WEIRD.

  5. booksandwine

I agree with Christina, that’s not how I picture Scarlet’s face at all, and I thought her hair would be a little more red as well, like I guess I just kind of picture Emma Stone, but yayyyy Scarlet!

  6. ellieM

Loved Cinder! I don’t want just Scarlet, I want them ALL!
I agree with the others, I don’t think the model looks like how I imagined Scarlet. Maybe becuase on Marissa’s pinterest, she has pictures of what she thinks she should look like, and it influenced me.

  7. Amanda

Cinder was one of the first books I read last year, and I loved it! So refreshing and awesome. I love how each book will follow a different character, but still be interlinked, which is a part of why I’m so excited to read Scarlet! 🙂

  8. SnugglyOranges

Just read Cinder and it really was great! I’m curious about Scarlet – is the focus more on Scarlet or is it like a 50/50 split between her and Cinder?

  9. aisazia
