Hello, hello! Welcome to the Cuddlebuggery stop on the Fairest Blog Tour! We are officially 11 days out from getting our hand on Fairest by Marissa Meyer, aka Levana’s story, aka EVIL QUEEN POV! EVIL QUEEN POV! GIVE IT TO ME NOW.
In this stunning bridge book between Cress and Winter in the bestselling Lunar Chronicles, Queen Levana’s story is finally told.
Mirror, mirror on the wall,
Who is the fairest of them all?
Fans of the Lunar Chronicles know Queen Levana as a ruler who uses her “glamour” to gain power. But long before she crossed paths with Cinder, Scarlet, and Cress, Levana lived a very different story – a story that has never been told . . . until now.
Marissa Meyer spins yet another unforgettable tale about love and war, deceit and death. This extraordinary book includes full-color art and an excerpt from Winter, the next book in the Lunar Chronicles series.
To celebrate this series and give you guys something to listen to as we wait, I’ve put together playlists for Cinder, Scarlet, and Cress. Instead of going my usual soundtrack for the book route, I thought I’d try and come up with what I think Cinder’s, Scarlet’s and Cress’ go-to playlists would be.
Cinder’s Iko’s Playlist
In my mind, Cinder would go down to her workshop and maybe try and turn on something angry or angsty and Iko would bop over like NOPE! DANCE PARTY! And turn up some The Naked and Famous and make Cinder laugh while she works and eventually she’d even get her to dance a little.
Scarlet’s Playlist
I feel like Scarlet would be into relatively unknown indie bands and she’d be the girl wearing the t-shirt with the obscure band name rolling her eyes at pop music. While I am by no means a musical super hipster (there’s always a more obscure band) I’ve put together a list of slightly more out there songs that I could totally see Scarlet soundtracking her delivery runs with.
Cress’ Playlist
Of the three, I think Cress is the romantic. I can totally see her floating around in her space station listening to romantic, pop-ier songs and dreaming up elaborate fantasies where the songs are about her. I think Cress would be a HUGE Taylor Swift fan but, alas, she pulled her music from Spotify so you’ll have to pretend all of 1989 is on this list.
Bonus points to Gaby for suggesting if the song starts with a satellite song it should end with a satellite song.

Hmm I think Cinder could win the Hunger Games because she’s pretty resourceful
Danielle Nguyen
I think Cinder would win. She seems the toughest.
Kelly L.
Cinder! She never gives up.
Alison
Which character would win the Hunger Games? I think maybe Cinder, she’s pretty resourceful with her tools. Or Wolf, because he’s… Wolf.
Michelle @ In Libris Veritas
Loving these playlists! And Cinder would totally win!
Daphne Trumps
definitely Wolf.
Em
I think that either Wolf or Cinder would win!
Susan T.
I vote for Wolf. He’s strong, vicious and I love him! 🙂
Em
I think either Cinder or Wolf would win!
Stacy Renee @ LazyDayLiterature
Cinder is pretty skilled and resourceful so I choose her!
January
I’ve only read Cinder so far so I’m not actually sure! I bet Cinder would do pretty well though! Thanks for the giveaway! 🙂
Chelsea B.
Cinder, definitely. She’s had to fend and fight for herself anyway and besides, she’s full of handy gadgets.
Shae/Shelver @ Shae Has Left The Room
Personally, I would never, ever, ever bet against Cinder.
(Thanks for the giveaway!)
Elizabeth
Cinder…she’s got useful tools…
Marni J
Cinder…that girl can make something out of nothing. She’s got the wit, the brawn and knows how to come out on top.

I’ve only read Cinder so I’d have to go w/ her 🙂 thanks so much for the awesome giveaway!
Amber
Hhmmm I’d probably choose Cinder because shes’s tough enough and she could build anything from everything!
Susan
Scarlet because nothing stops her from getting what she wants.
bn100
no idea; haven’t read it
sabina edwards
Cinder for sure – I think she was my favourite character in all of the books so far
Clarisa Ramirez
Cinder since she is a cyborg.
Barbara @ My Bibliophile Mind
I’d have to say that Cinder would win the Hunger Games, but I feel like she’d try her best to do it without killing anyone directly. Maybe a little tinkering could put her competitors in hard situations. I would personally like to see how Thorne would do. I don’t think he’d win, but he’d definitely have the people’s love.
La La in the Library
I haven’t read these books yet, but I loved the way Wolf looked in the artwork tour post, so I will blindly pick him. Thanks for this fabulous giveaway. 🙂
Christina (A Reader of Fictions)
I vote for Iko being the champion ass-kicker, because the others will likely die in an attempt to save a less wily/physically fit companion, aka their true love.
Also, I now have the song Iko Iko stuck in my head.
Brittany T
Cinder for sure!!
Holly B
I’d have to go with Wolf.
Molly Mortensen
I love that you had it Iko’s instead of Cinder’s playlist! I think that Cinder would win the Hunger Games because she’s smart and tough.
Christine
I’d probably go with Wolf
Mary G Loki
Cinder bc she can survive on her own!

Cinder because she is a survivor
Michelle Lee
I would have to say Cinder because she is smart and knows her stuff! Thank you for this amazing chance! 🙂
Sabine B
I am guessing wolf, because he is the best…
Lia
Captain Thorn! Because he could silver tongue his way out of anything, and is pretty resourceful and tough.
