Hello, hello!
Ladies and gentlemen, this is it. We are officially in the final countdown to the release of Isla and the Happily Ever After by Stephanie Perkins and I, for one, could not be more excited. These books are the cutest of the cute and I cannot wait to see what’s in store for Isla.
‘But wait,’ you may be saying, ‘I haven’t read these Anna/Lola books. They sound quite delightful but I have yet to read them.’ Never fear dear reader! Andi from Andi’s ABCs, Jamie from The Perpetual Page Turner , Judith from Paper Riot, Lindsey from A Bookish Sinister Kid and I have put together a readalong (or rereadalong for those of you who have read them and want to brush up so you can be at maximum preparedness levels for Isla) in anticipation of this glorious release.
(I’ve heard a rumor that Anna and the French Kiss is $6 for kindle right now)
‘A readalong,’ you may also be saying, ‘well that sounds like a jolly good time!’ (I don’t know why you would say it like that but work with me here) ‘What does this readalong entail?’ Excellent question! Basically, we are reading the books leading up to Isla’s release and we’re going to have lots of fun and shenanigans at various blogs along the way. Andi has put together this lovely schedule so you can see what’s happening when and where:
This is a low key sort of event. Basically, we just want to read the books and collectively freak out about them as they are the most squee-filled, adorable, roll around in the sunshine in a field of daisies while snuggling them to your chest, contemporary romances you can read. We’ll be tweeting as we go with the hashtag #IslaIsComing and if you want to join in FEEL FREE.
If you want to do a post about one/all of these books or anything having to do with them, that would be fantastic but no pressure. Sign up in the linky thing at the bottom of this post and snag this badge to add to your blog:
(If you do use the banner/badge, it would be very nice and polite of you to give me credit as I slaved over them for a period of time I can’t accurately recall at this moment)
Really, we just want to share our love of these books and this author with the world and we hope you’ll participate in whatever fashion you choose (twitter stalking totally counts)!
Get ready you guys, #IslaIsComing.
Sarah P.
Oh yay for a readalong! I finally have an excuse to reread the two books. Haha!
Fida
I may join in but I have to get the books first. Thanks for doing this!

YESSSSSSSSSSSSS!!! THIS TOTALLY WORKS SO WELL WITH ME!!
I had been planning to read both Anna and Lola in August in time to read Isla when I got my preorder in, and this is just perfect schedule and all!! 😀

I don’t know if I’ll be joining in because I don’t think I have the time, but I really want to! I’ll try for Isla, and if everything is all clear for the end of the month, then I’ll be joining in! But I am looking at the schedule and laughing at my own Perkins Project and thinking how I definitely should have planned it waaaay in advance.
And that banner looks great! I love the colors so much, Meg!

This sounds fun and I’d finally have an excuse to read the first two books (as if I didn’t already)! 🙂
But I haven’t pre-ordered the third one and unfortunately probably won’t be able to get it before September. Could I still participate in this for the first two books only?
