Big news here at Cuddlebuggery!

Steph will be starting classes in August in order to begin her fabulous and highly successful career.  Whilst we had already considered bringing a third member of Cuddlebuggery on board, we will definitely need one now to keep the blog going.  Kat simply can’t do it alone!

So we want you!  Yes, YOU!  We want your brains and maybe, if you’re the right person for us, we want them on a permanent basis.

If you want to get into blogging but aren’t sure where to start, or if you have a blog but don’t mind coming over and joining us, then you can apply now!

Why join Cuddlebuggery Book Blog?

Cuddlebuggery, whilst a very new blog, has grown exponentially since it opened doors on February 14th 2012.  According to Quantcast We currently get 2,934 visitors a week and 9,590 page views a week.

Steph and I share all the print ARCs we receive and being a member of Cuddlebuggery could give you greater exposure to Galleys through Netgalley, Edelweiss and our publisher/author contacts.

What we’re looking for:

We are looking for someone with a strong, fresh, voice willing to contribute at least one or two posts a week on a flexible roster.

Creativity, humour and a sense of fun is necessary.  Advanced computer skills are NOT.

We need someone to join the team and play nicely.

So if you think you might fit in with Steph and I, if you want to get more exposure and join us as we take over the world, then shoot us an email contactus@cuddlebuggery.com and let us know:

Your name/handle

Your blog (if you have one)

Five of your favourite YA books.

Five YA books you hate

Provide sample reviews (2-3 should be fine)

Why you would like to join Cuddlebuggery.

Any other shit you feel like telling us

And finally…

May the Cuddlebuggery be with you, my friend.

“And other shit you feel like telling us.”

Well, that leaves things WIDE open now, doesn’t it! Muahahaha *runs off to begin essay*

I’m not applying for the job (don’t have half enough free time!), but now seems as good a time as any to ask: Just what is with that name??

At first I assumed you were Americans and didn’t know what ‘buggery’ meant. But a few reviews in I came across the word used appropriately, so clearly you do.

If I *was* applying for the job I think I’d want to know what the name of the blog means, and that it’s not something unwholesome (which is not intended to be a homophobic comment! I wouldn’t want to write for a blog called huggyf*cker either!)

    • Kat Kennedy

@emma woodcock: Hey Emma, the answer to that question is in our faqs.

“People have asked us what Cuddlebuggery actually means. Kat Kennedy chose the name for her blog before it was a book blog, and in joining with Stephanie Sinclair, a decision was made to keep it. Stephanie Sinclair was not aware of what the name meant at the time.
In Kat’s small, colloquial home town, Cuddlebuggery means delicious, flirty, sexy times without actually removing clothes or having sex.
We politely ignore the dirtier connotations and meanings of the name, but snicker about it in our free time.”

I hope you guys can find another co-blogger as awesome as the two of you. I would apply, but frankly, I can barely keep up with my own blog, so I suspect I’d be a pretty shitty co-blogger. But I hope you find someone fantastic. 😀 And an advanced good luck to Steph!

      @Lexie B.:

Blogging is so hard to do alone. I have so much respect for those that do. And thank you, Lexie!

  4. Kate C.

I would do it in a heartbeat, but only if I could be anonymous. Oh wait… That comment was public wasn’t it? Darn it! 🙂

  5. Lissa

Can’t wait to see who your newest blogger is. I’ve been following you guys since you opened and loved every minute of it. It’s my favourite blog. You guys rock!

    And good luck to Steph!

  6. Joie

Oh gosh, I’d love to join–I freaking love all of your posts! Unfortunately I’d probably be biting off more than I can chew… but I can’t wait to see who you guys pick! Hope they’re just as witty and awesome as you guys are! 🙂

  7. Archer

I’m gonna be honest. I applied and I hope I’m successful. This is my favourite blog. I love you guys. I know you’ll pick whoever is the best fit for the blog

I’ve just recently had to get a new blog partner as well, so I wish you girls all the best. I’ll share this help wanted post on Facebook and Twitter for you girls 🙂 I hope you find the perfect candidate 🙂 Good luck!

  9. Kayto

Not applying, but I wish you luck with the new blogger, and with Steph’s class!

  10. Ellen Faith

It’s been a childhood dream of mine to take over the world, I must admit. But I have no where near the amount of humour of you two ladies! Haha.

  11. Iffath

Dude, I want to apply SO BAD because y’all are so awesome, but at the moment I can’t even post regularly on my own blog, so how could I do it on another?! Hope you find somebody as cool as you too, though!

  12. Tink

I would love to apply! Have been thinking about getting into (book)blogging for a while now. Important question: Would you consider someone not from the US? How about someone from Holland:)? I could bring a very unique and interesting international perspective to the blog… 🙂
