Ana was told that nosouls can’t love. But newsouls? More than anything, she wants to live and love as an equal among the citizens of Heart, but even when Sam professes his deepest feelings, it seems impossible to overcome a lifetime of rejection. In this second book in the Incarnate trilogy, Ana discovers the truth about reincarnation and will have to find a way to embrace love and make her young life meaningful. Once again, Jodi Meadows explores the extraordinary beauty and shadowed depths of the soul in a story equal parts epic romance and captivating fantasy.
Cuddlebuggery’s cover synopsis:
Flowerwoman: Asunder! After a young, budding scientist is bitten by a radioactive flower and transforms into a superhero with the power to gaze deep into a person’s soul and judge them, things become increasingly difficult. Under attack by other superheros like Superman, who don’t want to be told what a jerkface they are, Flowerwoman questions her poignant, yet dignified pout in the face of danger. But her judgment is fueled by photosynthesis from the rays of the sun. And if she can’t turn off the sun, then she can never stop judging.
Fathomless by Jackson Pearce
Revealed on: Jackson Pearce’s blog
Publication Date: 24 September 2012
Celia Reynolds is the youngest in a set of triplets and the one with the least valuable power. Anne can see the future, and Jane can see the present, but all Celia can see is the past. And the past seems so insignificant — until Celia meets Lo.
Lo doesn’t know who she is. Or who she was. Once a human, she is now almost entirely a creature of the sea — a nymph, an ocean girl, a mermaid — all terms too pretty for the soulless monster she knows she’s becoming. Lo clings to shreds of her former self, fighting to remember her past, even as she’s tempted to embrace her dark immortality.
When a handsome boy named Jude falls off a pier and into the ocean, Celia and Lo work together to rescue him from the waves. The two form a friendship, but soon they find themselves competing for Jude’s affection. Lo wants more than that, though. According to the ocean girls, there’s only one way for Lo to earn back her humanity. She must persuade a mortal to love her . . . and steal his soul.
Cuddlebuggery Cover Synopsis:
Mermy the mermaid necklace had a dream – to swim in the ocean like a real mermaid. When her chance comes, she takes it. But the ocean has secrets and it’s a terribly big place for a little mermaid necklace that… can’t actually swim. Mermy realizes she didn’t think that part through very well, but that’s not unreasonable because she was purchased for $29 at a discount jewelers and she’s only gold plated. What can she do? How will she survive. Things seems mostly hopeless since she’s an inanimate object and thus can’t do anything and was never alive to begin with.

LOL. Love the synopses. I had some things to say about these covers too, although not quite so tongue in cheek. I was disappointed by both, but what can you do?

@Lisa @ Fic Talk: haha! You’re welcome!@Christina (A Reader of Fictions): meh. I wasn’t a big fan of Incarnate so it doesn’t bother me what they do with the covers but I don’t like how similar it is to the last one but, at the same time, less interesting.
Lisa @ Fic Talk
Is there a way to LIKE a post??
Cause I absolutely would LOVE to like the shit outta this.
LOL @ Mermy. Poor thing wasted $29. SMH.

I’m so excited for Fathomless! The cover is stunning, but I hate it when my covers don’t match.
Lexie B.
Super excited for Code Name Verity, because I’ve heard almost nothing but excellent things about that one. I think both of the covers revealed are lovely, although I wish they hadn’t changed Jackson’s covers; I love the original covers for Sisters Red and Sweetly.
Also, I now really want someone to write your cover stories.
AJ
Thanks for the heads up about A Confusion of Princes. I almost totally missed that one!
