A new epic fantasy by National Book Award finalist and New York Times bestselling author Laini Taylor of the Daughter of Smoke & Bone trilogy.
The dream chooses the dreamer, not the other way around–and Lazlo Strange, war orphan and junior librarian, has always feared that his dream chose poorly. Since he was five years old he’s been obsessed with the mythic lost city of Weep, but it would take someone bolder than he to cross half the world in search of it. Then a stunning opportunity presents itself, in the person of a hero called the Godslayer and a band of legendary warriors, and he has to seize his chance to lose his dream forever.
What happened in Weep two hundred years ago to cut it off from the rest of the world? What exactly did the Godslayer slay that went by the name of god? And what is the mysterious problem he now seeks help in solving?
The answers await in Weep, but so do more mysteries–including the blue-skinned goddess who appears in Lazlo’s dreams. How did he dream her before he knew she existed? and if all the gods are dead, why does she seem so real?
In this sweeping and breathtaking new novel by National Book Award finalist Laini Taylor, author of the New York Times bestselling Daughter of Smoke & Bone trilogy, the shadow of the past is as real as the ghosts who haunt the citadel of murdered gods. Fall into a mythical world of dread and wonder, moths and nightmares, love and carnage.
Welcome to Weep.

My favorite dreams are the ones where I get to visit Pismo Beach, CA with my husband.
Trish Pieper
I wish I had a favorite dream, as I never remember the good ones when I wake up. However, if I were to pick a favorite dream to have it would always include a sunny beach somewhere with my family and a good book.
Stephanie Quinn
My favorite dream would have to be floating in a row boat on a sunny day: fresh air, warm skin and the rock of the boat. Simple but wonderful.
Lauren
As a new mom, my favorite dream is one I have both waking and sleeping, in which I have an hour of uninterrupted free time, in the sun, to read a juicy, delicious novel. Preferably with wine in hand.
Shay
My favorite dreams are ones in which I’m adventuring… Waking up at the end of the journey is my favorite (though I usually wake during a chase and don’t get to see how it ends!)
Jane Payne
My favorite dream is an epic adventure through sweeping vistas of canyons and rivers. I can never remember the plot when I wake, just the setting.
Kimberly
I typically get a lot of nightmares, but I’ve had a handful of decent dreams. They’re not magical or epic. They’re just me having fun with friends. It’s an uncommon joy that I don’t usually get to experience when I’m awake because I’m usually busy with work.
Danielle
My favorite dreams now are anything with vacation involved! Sometimes work is too dull and painful, so the dreams mean ESCAPE!!!
Brynna
Hmmm… my favorite dream. That’s a pretty tough one, cause usually the only ones I remember are nightmares, so not really a fan of those. I’d have to say my tornado dreams, probably. I have dreams about tornadoes pretty frequently (though it actually hasn’t happened in a long time now), and while they always start out pretty scary/as nightmares, I always end up knowing exactly what to do and save a whole slew of people, so they end up pretty good in the end 🙂
Gwendolyn Jordan
My favorite dream is me climbing Mount Everest I have no idea why
Lindsey
My favorite dream is when I dreamt I ate (yes, ate) an entire library! It was a relief when I woke up and found out I hadn’t really consumed any precious paperbacks!
Julie @ Happily Ever Chapter
I’ve heard so many great things about this one. Hmmm my favorite dream…sometimes I dream about being on the beach and it’s so vivid that I feel like I can feel the sunshine on my skin. I love those! I also enjoy the ones were I’m some kind of kick ass ninja fighter….because who doesn’t want to be a ninja?! lol
Karen Maldonado
Don’t remember much about it, but it included my baby cousins and the beach. Any dream with the little superheroes is a wonderful one.
Carl
When I was a child I used to dream about flying all the time. I’d run really fast and then just start to hover above the ground. Just by moving my body I could move forward or up in total defiance of gravity. It was so real that I actually thought I could do it in real life. It was great.
Kelsey
My favorite dream is when I fall into an alternative dimension and am a princess in a different life. Complete with crown and poofy dress and dancing all night!
Julia Young
I dream in stories. Full length, and once I awake, I tried to write it all down, but never felt like I truly succeeded. My favorite one was about an orphan sent on a journey to retrieve lost treasure. He initially began the journey because he felt like no one would miss him and he might as well, but as the dream progressed he made new friends. At the end he died valiantly will all his friends surrounding him. I woke up with tears drying on my face.
Natasha
My favorite dream is getting to see my favorite band in concert.
Thanks for the chance to win!
Alyssa Susanna (The Eater of Books!)
YAY! I loved this book. I can’t wait for The Muse of Nightmares. It had better be a March 2018 publication!!!!!!
I’ve had some really strange dreams! Piloting an airplane is a fun one, even when the plane goes into a nosedive. Fun stuff. 😀 Recently I had a dream that it was (finally) graduation and I was in my gown. I think I’m ready to graduate. Three more weeks!
Thank you for the chance! I neeeeeeed that sleep mask! This whole prize pack is amazing. 😀
Have a great week!
Alyssa @ The Eater of Books!
Markella
My favorite dream used to be when I would wake up and have grown taller! And I believed I did everytime. Never happened
Tarra
My favorite dream…. that’s a hard one. Probably any dream I have where my grandpa is still alive, because I miss him more than words can say.
Sara @ Forever 17 Books
I tend to forget dreams shortly after I wake up but I know I have sometimes had dreams where I was playing with my dog who is not longer with us. Those are tough dreams to wake up from. Thanks for the giveaway!
Carina Olsen
Lovely giveaway post Kat 😀 Thank you for sharing about this one. <3 US only, so not for me, but gosh, what an awesome prize back 🙂
Rachel
Not sure I have a favorite one per se, unless you count any one where I’m traveling overseas and have a very vivid hot guy dream.
Beth W
Wahooo!
Favorite dream…well, I used to remember my dreams in vivid detail, but since falling ill I don’t really any more. But I had one the other day that was so random. I’ve lost most of the specifics, but I was hanging out with Lin-Manuel Miranda (possibly the strangest thing, as I’m not familiar with Hamilton and haven’t seen many images of Miranda) and we were debating cultural tropes that you see represented in books and movies. Just two friends, hanging out, talking. Like ya do. It took about five minutes after I woke up to realize that wasn’t a random face conjured from my imagination but the face of someone who actually lives. And those types of moments make me wonder if total strangers across the world share dreams all the time, and we all just dismiss it as fluff and nonsense. Hrmm…..
Stacy Renee
My favorite dreams are ones where I am flying. I’ve had them since I was a kid and they are so freeing. 🙂
Angel K
Hi hi!! Thank you for the chance to win such an awesome prize pack! I don’t know if I have a favorite dream to be honest. I think they’re all pretty good and I can’t seem to remember one specific one.
Autumn
I constantly have dreams where I’m hanging out at Fisney World with my family and it’s always amazing!
