I’m stealing your tagline for my book because Yes, it all is!! The big fancy cars, the huge mansion, and the million dollars I deserve for just being me—and it’s all locked up. The Outrage! But on a positive note, I love this cover’s image. If only that was a skeleton key that opened up a door to everything I’d ever dreamed of, we’d be set. It does remind me of a couple of Middle-Grade books I’ve written for Scholastic that have a strong influence with keys so I found it very interesting that you used a mysterious key . . . I may end up stealing this cover for another book I’m thinking about writing . . .

Getting a very Twilight-y feel from this cover, know what I mean? Rest assured I do not have a love triangle in my book, and I totally saw the rook being a hater on this relationship. But what’s wrong with two chess pieces being in love? They all come from the same mold—literally.

Ultimately, all I gotta say is, “You is BAD,” because I ain’t touchin’ *this* cover’s commentary with a 10-foot pole . . . 🙂 But there is War in my book and devious chess players—I mean characters. My MC and her betrothed are going to try to one up each other until the ultimate checkmate.

Adam and Eve in the Garden of Eden! Except Adam is MIA, I don’t see a snake, and Eve apparently is a Couture Fashion Ram girl. Love the idea of the forbidden apple. I also love the outfit and the shoes (I would have blisters the size of a baseball but it’s worth it in the name of fashion!) but I’m not so sure about that hair (I’m expecting Effie Trinket from The Hunger Games to pop up and call a fashion foul for stealing her ‘do).I get a strong Far Eastern vibe from this, and I’m waiting for the Ninjas to pop out from behind the tree wielding swords to duel to the death. As a cover for *my* FORBIDDEN book, I can tell you flat-out that the Tribal Elders would have had a fit over this girl’s leg cleavage.

    The combo of red and gold is very striking. I like the font chosen for the title and the curlicues along the left-hand side. The dress and accessories seem appropriate to the story and the character. I like the whole package!
