I totally get not liking love triangles, or preferring not to have them in your books. Not all tropes are for everyone.
— Gillian Berry (@mizgillianberry) July 16, 2015
But saying they UNIVERSALLY WEAKEN the character of the female lead is…problematic at best, offensive at worst.
— Gillian Berry (@mizgillianberry) July 16, 2015
Sometimes life throws more than one romantic possibility or life chance at you. Doesn't NECESSARILY mean there will be waffling/romangst.
— Gillian Berry (@mizgillianberry) July 16, 2015
(yes, I just made up the word romangst, and yes, I am trademarking that as we speak)
— Gillian Berry (@mizgillianberry) July 16, 2015
I also tend to LIKE when lovelorn YA characters suffer from some form of romangst bc omg who wasn't romantic MESS at 16

Ack, so so many gorgeous tweets this past week 🙂 I’m still unsure how that purse that Marie posted can actually be a purse, hah. But cute 🙂 And aaaw, love that cat picture near the end. <3 Cuuute. And so many other amazing tweets too 🙂 I adore Gillian. <3 Though I do not agree with her about love triangles. They are awful. And never anything good. And I aaalways end up hating the main girl because of it. But anyway 🙂 Thank you for sharing all these awesome tweets and such. <3

Regardless of how tiny that “purse” is, I agree, it is really cute!
(and ps, I don’t like love triangles either, and they may occur in real life, but I don’t know ANYONE in my own life who has ever experienced one. But that could be just me!)

That it is 🙂 And yay. <3 You are awesome. And oh my gosh, yes. I have never known anyone who's been in a love triangle either. I could never do that to someone. It hurts the boy not chosen. And the boy chosen.. I don't see how that boy could ever love the girl, if the girl couldn't even decide if she loved him more than someone else. Ugh. Sorry 😀 It just bothers me so so much. Triangles just hurts my heart and makes me so sad and angry :p
