So, there's this book coming out in April that you may have heard of called An Ember In The Ashes by Sabaa Tahir. I was super lucky and got an ARC of it and because I am awesome at impulse control, maybe read it was earlier than I meant to. Whoops, bad me. The bright side of me not being able to stop myself from doing anything is that I can officially tell you it definitely lives up to the hype. The beginning is a little slow and it took me awhile to warm up to the characters but the world-building and mythology are spectacular, the stakes are incredibly high, the brutality is real and followed through on in a way not often seen in YA. Also, the end is fucking epic. Let me put it like this: I've mentioned a few times that I've been in a pretty bad reading slump,the only thing I could force myself to finish for awhile were rereads of my favs and this book.
