Champion by Marie Lu Swag Giveaway!

1 November, 2013 Giveaways 31 comments

If there is one fall release I am super excited for, it’s Champion by Marie Lu. Why you ask? WHY?! Do you guys remember what happened at the end of Prodigy? No?! Well, welcome to the Cleverly Ambiguous Plot-Recap of Prodigy, also known as, Steph’s Prodigy Feels Rollercoster.

So June and Day were on the run from the baddies and I was all:

nail-biting-o

Then a bunch of stuff is happening at once (explosions, guns, fighting, oh my!) and I’m worried for all the characters. I mean, where were the Power Rangers when I needed them? But I put my battle face on, which basically means there was a lot of lip-biting to rival a Twilight movie.

And even though I felt Marie had taken my heart through a meat shredder, she gave me a reprieve with June’s speech. I was really proud of June, so obvs I was all:

fist-pump

So I get to the last few pages and things are looking on the up and up. Prodigy was so much more than I expected and I went:

This is the best

Just when I think everything’s all good and dandy, the last page drop kicks me and this happens:

FEELS wave

Prodigy left off left me in a puddle of feels, shamelessly begging for more. But where does that leave us with Champion?! If the trailer is any indication, we are in for supreme action! Now, I’m the kind of person who usually dislikes most book trailers, but this was pretty good and the special effects were surprising. Check it out!

What do you guys think will happen to our favorite duo in Champion?

I’m literally dying with anticipation! (Hahaha. Well, not literally. But I’ve literally been waiting to use the word “literally” wrong in a sentence. Literally.) Can you believe it comes out next week?! I totally expect for us all to do a mass twitter readalong to be there for each other’s long list of feels.

He is a Legend.
She is a Prodigy.
Who will be Champion?

June and Day have sacrificed so much for the people of the Republic—and each other—and now their country is on the brink of a new existence. June is back in the good graces of the Republic, working within the government’s elite circles as Princeps Elect while Day has been assigned a high level military position. But neither could have predicted the circumstances that will reunite them once again. Just when a peace treaty is imminent, a plague outbreak causes panic in the Colonies, and war threatens the Republic’s border cities. This new strain of plague is deadlier than ever, and June is the only one who knows the key to her country’s defense. But saving the lives of thousands will mean asking the one she loves to give up everything he has. With heart-pounding action and suspense, Marie Lu’s bestselling trilogy draws to a stunning conclusion.

LOVE this series. The I have pre-ordered champion. The end of Prodigy was TOO MUCH. I NEED to know what happens to Day! Can’t wait. Only 4 days left :D:D

  2. JZ

I’m expecting a bittersweet ending, tons of FEELS, maybe a few unexpected plot twists, but definitely something all the readers will love 😀

I haven’t read Prodigy or Legend even though I own both (gasp). I haven’t ever read a series all at once. I plan to do this when Champion comes out.

I’m not sure what’s going to happen but I’m sure it’s going to be great! I just hope Day doesn’t die

There, there, Steph, you have the whole fandom.

I just couldn’t bear that ending in Prodigy, and I hate that it’s excruciating to wait for books. I’m just so glad I read it a few months ago, instead of when it was released. That would have been worse.

I just hope the text in the book isn’t red.

THANK YOU for making this perfect giveaway international 😀 You are the best. <3 Dying to read Champion. <3 I want it to end with Day and June TOGETHER, happy. But I think it will end with Day dying 🙁 Or June with someone else. Sigh. Allegiant has made me worry for the ending to other books 🙁

Thank you for the poster giveaway! I’m dying to read Champion. Since Veronica Roth’s ending of Allegiant I’m scared that this might end up the same way with Day. Hopefully not. June’s gonna find out and confront him and hopefully knock the sense out of him seeing that he stupidly hid something from her.

  8. Alli G

Honestly, I think there’s a good chance that Day will die. June’s definitely gotta find out why he dumped her first, but I don’t really see how you can fix him now. I kinda like having no firm idea what’ll happen next…

    I LOVE THIS SERIES!!
I’m not sure what’s going to happen but I’m sure it’s going to be exciting! I just hope Day doesn’t die! Although I do think he will, but i hope he doesn’t.

June and Day deserve a HAPPY ending. A very very ve-rry happy ending.

It will probably break my heart a couple of times before I even get to the middle of it, and then when I least expect it, it will break it again.
    I am not prepared,

  11. Nina

I believe I will feel heartbroken for far too long and then perhaps if miss Lu is merciful my heart will find relief before the last pages are turned.

    *takes a deep breath*

To be honest, I really don’t have any expectations as to what happens in Champion. I didn’t know what would happen in the previous novels, yet they all blew me away. Marie Lu’s writing always captivates me and she never seems to disappointment her readers when it comes to creating realistic characters who actually seem like people that exist in our world today. I know I’m going to feel empty for a while once I’m done reading Champion, but I’m really looking forward to reading how June and Day’s compelling, yet tragic journey will come to an end. Thank you, Steph for setting up this giveaway! It’s really cool to see how excited Marie Lu’s fans are to get their hands on Champion *^^*

That poster is so cool! My copy of Champion is coming in the post so it should arrive on Monday. I just hope it doesn’t break my heart too much but ugly crying/sobbing/wailing is guaranteed 100%.
