The Dark Days of Summer 2013 Are Coming…

… And we are totally stoked (the kids still say that right?) to be revealing one of the authors. Her book is one Kat and I have been really, really looking forward to and being her official Blogger made our day! Can you guess who it is? I’ll give you a few hints.

Her book cover is so pretty and shiny in person, it’ll make you go:

It's so shiny!

Resistance is futile.

Some pretty dark and creepy things go down in the story that may or may not spark this reaction:

tangled dark

Are you afraid of the Dark?

Okay, one more. It starts with an “A” and rhymes with “shark fight”.

If you guessed the fantastic Josin L. McQuein author of Arclight, you win… the internet!

You get a meme!

Actually, the only real prize here is our eternal love.

No one crosses the wall of light . . . except for one girl who doesn’t remember who she is, where she came from, or how she survived. A harrowing, powerful debut thriller about finding yourself and protecting your future—no matter how short and uncertain it may be.The Arclight is the last defense. The Fade can’t get in. Outside the Arclight’s border of high-powered beams is the Dark. And between the Light and the Dark is the Grey, a narrow, barren no-man’s-land. That’s where the rescue team finds Marina, a lone teenage girl with no memory of the horrors she faced or the family she lost. Marina is the only person who has ever survived an encounter with the Fade. She’s the first hope humanity has had in generations, but she could also be the catalyst for their final destruction. Because the Fade will stop at nothing to get her back. Marina knows it. Tobin, who’s determined to take his revenge on the Fade, knows it. Anne-Marie, who just wishes it were all over, knows it.

When one of the Fade infiltrates the Arclight and Marina recognizes it, she will begin to unlock secrets she didn’t even know she had. Who will Marina become? Who can she never be again?

If that blurb makes Arclight sound creepily delicious, that’s because it is. Guys, I’m reading this book now and WOW, I’m loving it! It’s so creative and vivid. Universal has already optioned it for a movie and all I can think of is, “YES, YES! DOOOOO ITTTTT!”

Be sure to stop back here on May 1st for an exclusive Q&A with Josin. It’ll be filled with unicorns made of sweetness and light. In the meantime, here’s Josin with a message about Arclight!

***ARCLIGHT is a Dark Days online exclusive! This means Josin’s #PitchDarkDays tour will be online only, and we’ll have lots of awesome content in the coming months on PitchDark.com and this blog. Stay tuned for ARCLIGHT’s #PitchDarkDays adventure!***

Hehehe — I like that it rhymes with “shark fight”. Never thought of it that way.
