reading_by_estelar-d3d6jv0Welcome to In 10 Lines.  Ever wanted to know what happens in a book, but couldn’t be assed reading it for yourself?  Cuddlebuggery comes to the rescue with In 10 Lines.  In 10 Lines we will tell you everything you need to know about the featured book so that you can cheerfully move on with your life, or choose to read it should your attention be piqued.  So sit back, relax, and try not to clench as we proceed.

Today we’ll be reforming Hush Hush by Becca Fitzpatrick, a book that Steph and I didn’t fairly enjoy. Maybe because Patch had a stupid name?  Maybe because Patch was a stalkerish weirdo?  Maybe because Nora was not the kind of heroine we expected, or felt we deserved.  Maybe because nothing made sense and everything was insane.  And so we present to you: Hush Hush by Becca Fitzpatrick In 10 Lines:

Nora: OMG this weirdo is freaking me out. IRON PILLS!

Patch: You scared yet?  No? What if I try to ambiguously kill you?

Nora: That’s it.  I’m going to investigate your ass.  I heard a local girl got killed and you are exactly creepy enough to have done it.

Vee: Weeeeeeeeee!  AHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHA! Durrr.

Nora: That’s right, Vee. Let’s go investigate his a- no, wait, he’s busted us.

Patch: Now am I make you uncomfortable?  Please say yes. *awkward silence* I get that a lot… right before women die.

Nora: God you make me so reasonably uncomfortable… KISS ME! No. Wait Vee has gotten us into trouble.  Let’s go save her.

Patch: FINE. Also, quite abruptly and with no reasonable build up, I have decided that I love you and must protect you.

Vee: Hey, that time I ran away with dangerous boys and almost died was really fun!

The end.

Yup, that about sums it up. But you omitted the part when you get to the third book (only having read it for some OCD ish closure ) and you smash your head repeatedly against the wall discovering there’s a fourth book.

Haha, the first line with Vee? Absolutely perfect, almost exactly how I felt about her character! Lol I love this feature 😀

I had to re-read this a few time because it kept getting better. Vee’s is probably the best sum of her I can imagine. And I kept imaging Patch Adams the entire time I read the book – so not worth the time!

haha never read this and don’t plan to, but this is still hilarious!

Brilliant as usual!  Just enough to revile me, not enough to make me give up on YA altogether (which is how I feel when I read books like this)!  🙂
I’m also really enjoying this good book, not-so-good book dynamic you’ve got going on here.

Best summarized version of this book that I have ever read!
Hush, Hush is the first and only book that I have never been able to get through for the life of me.

    100% accurate.
I hate Nora. I hate Patch. Nora was annoying to the max, Patch was the creepiest love interest I’ve ever read.
I don’t know how I finished Hush, Hush – oh right, my friend pressured me everyday until I did.
I have Crescendo, I got through 1/3 and haven’t made any progress in the past 3 days 😀

    Hahaha, so true!
Although I did like Hush Hush, it was just stupidly annoying but intriguing at the same time. I’m not saying it wasn’t entirely predictable though I didn’t expect some of the situations to happen at all.

Best. Line. Ever. One must not simply make a funny while an unsuspecting female chews on her Lucky Charms.

I am so glad to have stumbled upon this post. At long last, I FEEL vindicated for ditching the whole awful series.  When I bought it, I thought I was gonna be swept off my feet.  But dang, it was as bad as rubbish. and didn’t buy the next 3 books.  But my OCNess nagged me like hell…it was urging me to buy the whole series because it’s the right thing to do.  The thought haunted me until I’ve read this post.  Thanks for liberating me from that awful ordeal.
