Halfway around the world, Scarlet Benoit’s grandmother is missing. It turns out there are many things Scarlet doesn’t know about her grandmother and the grave danger she has lived in her whole life. When Scarlet encounters Wolf, a street fighter who may have information as to her grandmother’s whereabouts, she has no choice but to trust him, though he clearly has a few dark secrets of his own.

R. H. Ragona’s Circus of Magic is the greatest circus of Ellada. Nestled among the glowing blue Penglass—remnants of a mysterious civilisation long gone—are wonders beyond the wildest imagination. It’s a place where anything seems possible, where if you close your eyes you can believe that the magic and knowledge of the vanished Chimaera is still there. It’s a place where anyone can hide.
Iphigenia Laurus, or Gene, the daughter of a noble family, is uncomfortable in corsets and crinoline, and prefers climbing trees to debutante balls. Micah Grey, a runaway living on the streets, joins the circus as an aerialist’s apprentice and soon becomes the circus’s rising star.
But Gene and Micah have balancing acts of their own to perform, and a secret in their blood that could unlock the mysteries of Ellada.

time for war.
Juliette has escaped to Omega Point. It is a place for people like her—people with gifts—and it is also the headquarters of the rebel resistance.
She’s finally free from The Reestablishment, free from their plan to use her as a weapon, and free to love Adam. But Juliette will never be free from her lethal touch.
Or from Warner, who wants Juliette more than she ever thought possible.
In this exhilarating sequel to Shatter Me, Juliette has to make life-changing decisions between what she wants and what she thinks is right. Decisions that might involve choosing between her heart—and Adam’s life.

Seven stories of passion and love separated by centuries but mysteriously intertwined—this is a tale of horror and beauty, tenderness and sacrifice.
An archaeologist who unearths a mysterious artifact, an airman who finds himself far from home, a painter, a ghost, a vampire, and a Viking: the seven stories in this compelling novel all take place on the remote Scandinavian island of Blessed where a curiously powerful plant that resembles a dragon grows. What binds these stories together? What secrets lurk beneath the surface of this idyllic countryside? And what might be powerful enough to break the cycle of midwinterblood? From award-winning author Marcus Sedgwick comes a book about passion and preservation and ultimately an exploration of the bounds of love.

I saw Etiquette & Espionage and Perfect Scoundrels when I went shopping yesterday, but I don’t want the former and I need the latter on my Kindle. Series must be all in one format for me. If I’d seen The Ruining, however, I would have snatched that up in a hurry.
I like most of the cover reveals this week and want to marry The Falconer’s cover, but Thornhill makes me cringe. It’s TOO obvious the girl was Photoshopped in there because she’s too light for the image. Did anyone change the lighting to try and make her blend? I also see lines of white along the left side of her face that are driving me batty.

I really like The Falconer cover and love Awakening–although I was disappointed with the first Tankborn novel and don’t plan on reading any more in the series. Midwinter Blood cracks me up, the pose and look on her face are so awkward, adding the symbols over her face isn’t helping.

ooh, The Ruining & Dancing in the Dark look intriguing! I’m still really pumped about Pantomime, and I didn’t even know Holly Black had another book coming out!! Thanks for the tips, xo leanna

I’m not reading “The Naturals” just because it was described as “The YA Criminal Minds”, and that’s not a good thing.

Even though there are still a few, it seems as though the floating girls in prom dresses trend is starting to dissipate!  I’m really looking forward to Gail Carringer’s Etiquette and Espionage, as well as Holly Black’s The Coldest Girl in Coldtown.

I adored Scarlet! I couldn’t believe how good it was. I also finished City of a Thousand Dolls today, and while it wasn’t as good as I was expecting, it was still pretty interesting. I did spend most of my time shipping a cat with the main character, though. Not sure what that says about me.
