QUESTion: What is the name of the Goddess Limerians worship?

Excerpt: “Limeros devoted two full days a week to prayer and silence. Anyone in the villages and city right up to the forbidden mountains who broke this law was fined. If they couldn’t pay the fine, they were reprimanded in a harsher manner. King Gaius had the common areas patrolled to make sure everyone stayed the course, paid their taxes, and strictly followed the command of their king.” – Chapter Eight, FALLING KINGDOMS

From Morgan: Limeros is the kingdom found in the north of Mytica. Over many years, Limeros has been experiencing a rather distressing climate change—seemingly endless winters with only a glimpse of summer for a few precious warm weeks. Perhaps because of this hardship, the people in Limeros cling to their religion. They worship Valoria, goddess of earth and water, and hold true to the Limerian credo of “strength, faith, and wisdom.”

Despite (or because of) the seemingly endless freezing temperature, Limerians are a hearty people—both physically and mentally. Their current leader, King Gaius, is known as the “king of blood.” Some might call him strict. Others would call him a sadistic tyrant who takes pleasure in the torture and pain of others—for example: those who are behind in taxes, those accused of witchcraft, and sometimes those who just look at him the wrong way. But in difficult times, a king must make hard decisions on behalf of his subjects, even if these decisions are not understood by all.

Limerians have little to do with their poor neighbors in Paelsia and don’t participate in any significant trade. Paelsia’s main export is wine and Limerians don’t drink alcohol (at least, not publicly). Limeros has no association with the golden land of Auranos, either, nor have they for a long time…but King Gaius is watching his affluent Southern neighbors very, very closely, and with great interest…

11.29 QUESTion, found somewhere in The Story Siren’s tour stop: Which country has the most power: Auranos, Limeros, or Paelsia?

 Falling Kingdoms by Morgan Rhodes

In a land where magic has been forgotten but peace has reigned for centuries, a deadly unrest is simmering. Three kingdoms grapple for power—brutally transforming their subjects’ lives in the process. Amidst betrayals, bargains, and battles, four young people find their fates forever intertwined:

Cleo: A princess raised in luxury must embark on a rough and treacherous journey into enemy territory in search of a magic long thought extinct.

Jonas: Enraged at injustice, a rebel lashes out against the forces of oppression that have kept his country impoverished—and finds himself the leader of a people’s revolution centuries in the making.

Lucia: A girl adopted at birth into a royal family discovers the truth about her past—and the supernatural legacy she is destined to wield.

Magnus: Bred for aggression and trained to conquer, a firstborn son begins to realize that the heart can be more lethal than the sword…

The only outcome that’s certain is that kingdoms will fall. Who will emerge triumphant when all they know has collapsed?
