Batman on Young Adult Novels

Ever wonder what Batman would think about some of your favourite, or not so favourite Batman novels?  Well, I dunno.  I don’t have a post for today, so if you haven’t, here we go:

Batman and all images of him belong to DC Comics.  I don’t own Batman.  But he did owe me a favor so I called it in today.

Batman on Daughter of Smoke and Bone:

Daughter of Smoke and BoneBatman: The cowl.  Batman approves. I believe in cowls.  I believe in black.  I believe in blue.  My life has been a crusade to find a great young adult novel.  But as Batman.  And now, in publishing’s greatest hour of crisis, reviewers turn to Bruce Wayne.

Karou has a secret. That’s the trouble about young adult book girls who have secrets: They can’t keep them…because that would be counter productive to advancing the plot.  Man… I am the reviewer Cuddlebuggery needs right now. But not the one it deserves.

Whatever the case, I won’t stop until I have rescued Cuddlebuggery from another non posting day.  Karou suffers from grief in this book. Grief is the enemy – for Karou. There’s no time for grief (no, really, the book ends shortly after that). There’s no room for grief (like I said before). Grief turns into acceptance. Forgiveness. Grief forgives what can never be forgiven. Never.

Especially for Akiva.  Man… That dude’s fucked.  I’m Batman.

This book is the young adult novel the Book Review Community.  No, wait.  I’ve already used that quote.  There’s no reward in being right all the time.  But in this case, I am.  The rain falls on Fallens and Hush Hushes, the same as it does on Stormdancers…and it can’t stop a Book reviewer.

There’s only one thing missing from these books. Man-Bats. Ninja Man-Bats. Alarming Twist.  No wait, it had the alarming twist.

I AM NOT INSANE!

I wear a mask. And that mask, it’s not to hide who I am, but to create what I am – a terrible reviewer.  A terrible, terrible reviewer.  But the best reviewer Gotham City has.

    Poor Batman.  Such a tortured soul.  (Although, who knew a person could be so tortured about writing reviews?  My respect level for reviewers just grew.)

    Batman, are you drunk? But still, you’re one of my favorite superheroes. Just get on with punching bad guys and be an awesome billionaire.  Reviewing is not your path.

    You are hilarious Batman (aka Kat)! Especially love the part where Batman realizes there are twists, institutes his want of “Man-Bats” and reflects how he is the Gotham’s best reviewer.

    omg.. I just read this -mind you first thing Monday morning at work and had to fight back laughing very loudly before my boss wondered if I’d gone insane!! Loved It!! Especially the I’m Batman!
